I am finally getting started on working on my concentration pieces. I think I've settled on dramatizing nature as my concentration. The pieces will focus on pulling out the emotions felt through nature. Right now im doing a paice that resembles a wave. I've been told its missing something, and I agree, but I don't know what. because I don't want to take away from the raw form or make it too complex... If you have any ideas please let me know.

This week I've been sketching and coming up with ideas for some projects. I don't know what I am going to do for the project that is due Monday, so I will be working on another project in school and I'll do the other project at home. I'm also trying to develop my concentration.

This week I am trying to finish the four projects, which I am very glad they are due next week. I had a moment that I thought they were due tomorrow. I am going to do the nature project. Another project involves a lot of paper and hot glue. I got the glue and I'm excited. And I need another project to do. I'm pretty behind, but I'm just going to be catching up.

I just finished a project, but Amy feels like it is missing something, so I will be thinking about that while working on a pot. I also need to go outside and do the nature sculpture on my own time. Other than that, I am just trying to work quickly to get caught up and get my four projects done.

So basically I am trying to make a pot that looks like the bare branches of a tree in winter. Last year I saw a student making a bowl over a dome-like mold, so I'll use that to put the slurry on. I'll basically be putting a bunch of random lines of slurry across the dome and letting it dry.
I'm working on catching up this week since I missed the projects on the art retreat. I'll be working on those, and possibly trying to make a pot from slurry. It might not work, but if it does, it will be really good for my concentration.
